Transformers North in action


Transformers North is a social enterprise that was set up with the purpose of engaging and empowering vulnerable adults. The group currently comprises of 13 adults ranging in age from late teens to seventy plus. Becky Houlding runs the group and provides a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to work at their own pace on a wide range of practical activities and projects.
It’s a great way for young and old to work together, sharing and learning new skills, doing something that is both productive and rewarding.

Crow Nest Park:-Dewsbury

Tending the flower beds, taming vegetation in the walled garden and bulb planting in the rockery

Learning new skills, passing on expertise and creating Herb Boxes to sell at the Summer fair.

Wilton Park: – Batley

This autumn the team worked at the top end of Wilton Park, cutting back areas of dense laurel.
They assisted the Friends of Wilton Park clearing out the ditches & drains and finished off the year with a spot of bulb planting.
