On behalf of the Kirklees Wildlife and Landscape Partnership (KWLP), we would like to invite you to the Natural Kirklees event on Saturday 16th April 2016 (09:15 – 15:15), at the Huddersfield Mission, 3-13 Lord Street, HD1 1QA.
The Kirklees Wildlife and Landscape Partnership (KWLP) through the support of Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) is launching Natural Kirklees, an exciting new project for Kirklees to protect and manage green spaces for natural heritage and increase their use. Led by volunteers from the local community, the project is about reconnecting people with their local environment and developing a sense of place and belonging. The KWLP wants to ensure that local communities understand the importance of the natural environment, its value to them and how they can be a part of an informed decision making process to improve it.
The conference is open to statutory and voluntary sector organisations; private landlords, friends of groups and volunteers involved with managing green spaces in Kirklees. It aims to bring together organisations from across these sectors for better working together and see the making of a new action plan for protecting and enhancing natural heritage in Kirklees.
Find out more about Environment Kirklees, our website, some excellent best practice case studies, and how we aim to encourage better working together to develop a Natural Kirklees Strategic Action Plan
Your help in promoting our event would be most appreciated.
Peter Turner – Chair of the Kirklees Wildlife Partnership.
