Community Outdoor Wellbeing Facilitator
Part-time various roles. Plus sessional worker opportunities
Based at S2R, Brook Street, Huddersfield but working in locations across Kirklees
Salary: £19,240 pro rata
Employment term: fixed 12 month term ( subject to funding)
S2R are reaching out into communities of Kirklees, to improve people’s Wellbeing by introducing them to Nature and Outdoors activities. We are looking for individuals with a broad range of outdoors skills and the ability to guide and inspire others to use nature to improve their own wellbeing. Experience of working with people who have mental health issues or other vulnerabilities is an advantage.
You will be facilitating small groups of adults and sometimes families in workshops such as outdoor cooking, walking, crafts, planting and growing. We strongly encourage bringing your own passions and skills to this job and to integrate your ideas into your role.
These roles are part-time and you may be need to work flexibly across the week. On occasion, in order meet the needs of community groups, facilitation may need to take place outside off office hours or on weekends. Your own transport will be an advantage, but not essential, as the work is based across Kirklees.
In addition to delivering our regular sessions you will be working alongside our Outdoors Project leader to help engage a range of community-based groups and to coordinate a timetable of workshops. You will usually be working alongside other staff and sessional workers on the delivery of the sessions themselves.
