Growing Great Places can help communities recover, reconnect and thrive

Got an idea that will help people’s health and wellbeing in a local outdoor space? Want to reconnect people safely to grow friendships and tackle loneliness? Setting up new activities to support young people? If you’ve got a great idea for helping your community build back better, Growing Great Places can help you generate support from residents, businesses and Kirklees Council to make it happen.

Local projects that have already been successful with Growing Great Places include:

– Growing Communities from Sanctuary Kirklees
– Thongsbridge Wild Space from River Holme Connections
– Caulms Wood Outdoor Classroom from the Friends of Caulms Wood
– Toftshaw Pit Hill Pond from the Friends of Toftshaw

You can register for one of the March 2021 online drop-in sessions with Kirklees Council and Spacehive to find out how to crowdfund for your project this spring.
