To promote walking in the Colne Valley, through the provision of walk guides, a website and mapboards and the carrying out of footpath maintenance works, in liaison with Kirklees Council. We have skills in basic maintenance work and in writing and producing leaflets.

We are a group of people mainly in the Colne Valley area, who litter pick on a regular basis and tackle local grit spots. We also help out other groups in Huddersfield. We have 120 members on Facebook.

Huddersfield New College Eco -Schools committee

We are a student led group working to achieve the college’s green agenda to reduce carbon emissions and plastic waste, and improve biodiversity on site. We planted 300 trees last year and this year the students would like to plant 30 more trees on site but we need access to tools to do this.
