Growing Works nurtures healthy lives and communities outdoors. By connecting people with their environment and providing supportive activities we help to improve health, happiness and encourage engagement within communities. Participants generally are vulnerable or isolated people, many affected by mental or physical ill health or disabilities. Our main projects are: Bud: Supporting adults through therapeutic gardening groups and volunteering opportunities, emphasis on enjoying benefits of social gardening and building skills. Sprout: whole family fun social sessions for children with additional needs; peer network & skills building, connecting to outdoor environment. Young Shoots: Teenage independence and building skills for the future.
