A bit of good news Guys after all the negative arson and vandalism stories.
In the last month Kayes First and Nursery School have brought close to sixty youngsters to Cliffe Woods Park to help with weeding, planting and tidying in our memorial and “Secret Gardens” for which we are very grateful.
The school staff made the session into a lesson in manners, public awareness and participation as well as a great fun time. To hear sixty individual and sincere thank you’s as they filed back to school was a real “lump in the throat’ experience.
As a result of their positive experience the school chose to hold its Year 5 leavers party/picnic in the secret garden and the volunteers are very appreciative of this obvious show of support for our efforts.
