Transport strategy: KEP responds to West Yorkshire Combined Authority

A submission to the West Yorkshire transport strategy consultation by Kirklees Environment Partnership highlighted the absence of effective demand reduction strategies. In a detailed paper it also proposed support for empowering local communities with resources to tackle the effects of speeding traffic, all-day commuter parking and poor air quality.

Help needed at Castle Hill

The Future of KEP within Environment Kirklees: EGM 11 Oct 16

Our next meeting is at 16.00 on 11th October. The meeting will briefly operate as an EGM (from 16.30) and is open to all organisations (and active individuals) who have a local involvement on sustainability projects. It will be held at Huddersfield Methodist Mission, Lord Street, Huddersfield HD1 1QA.

KEP is to merge with Environmental Alliance, promoter of Greenstreams if the EGM next week agrees. Full details are in this briefing paper. Meeting is at 16.00 on Tuesday 11th October and it will also consider our response to the West Yorkshire transport strategy consultation that closes on 21st October.
