A submission to the West Yorkshire transport strategy consultation by Kirklees Environment Partnership highlighted the absence of effective demand reduction strategies. In a detailed paper it also proposed support for empowering local communities with resources to tackle the effects of speeding traffic, all-day commuter parking and poor air quality.
